STAT Informatic Solutions is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Records Courier & Document Processing Specialist to support the secure collection, transportation, and processing of medical records. This role combines independent courier work with document imaging responsibilities, ensuring records are accurately handled, scanned, indexed, and processed in accordance with client requirements, company standards, and HIPAA regulations.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Full time, Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You'll Do

As a Document Processing Specialist/Courier, you will:

• Safely and efficiently complete scheduled medical record pick-up and delivery routes.
• Collect charts and records from healthcare facilities and transport them securely to designated locations.
• Walk facility floors to retrieve records from designated stations as needed.
• Load, transport, and unload medical records using carts and other equipment.
• Communicate route delays, issues, or vehicle concerns to leadership promptly.
• Prepare records for scanning according to client and company requirements.
• Scan documents while ensuring image quality and document counts meet established standards.
• Verify, index, and process records using company systems and software.
• Monitor workflow queues and assist with maintaining continuous processing operations.
• Support quality control activities and daily reporting processes.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and company policies.
• Provide professional service when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and driving history review.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while following established procedures.
• Customer-service mindset with the ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships.
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

• Experience in medical records, healthcare, document imaging, scanning, records management, courier, or logistics roles.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and medical record handling procedures.
• Experience using scanners, computers, and other office equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, and driving throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for document preparation, scanning, filing, and data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and stair climbing.
• Ability to operate office equipment, scanners, mobile devices, and computers.
• Ability to visually inspect documents and scanned images for quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work productively in environments with moderate to sustained background noise.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions while traveling between facilities.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods depending on assigned tasks.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a combination of office, healthcare, and warehouse environments. Responsibilities include regular travel between facilities to retrieve and deliver medical records, as well as office-based document processing activities. The successful candidate must be flexible and available to assist with priority projects, staffing needs, and time-sensitive requests as business demands require.
