Employee Benefits Marketing Assistant

  2026-10-24     Brown & Brown     all cities,AK
Description:

Ready to take your insurance or benefits experience to the next level?

Our Las Vegas Employee Benefits team helps Nevada employers choose and renew the medical, dental, and other benefit plans their people rely on. Each renewal involves carrier data, plan comparisons, deadlines, and a final presentation that helps a customer make a significant decision for their workforce.

As our Marketing Assistant, you'll keep that process moving. You'll work directly with our benefits marketing leader, account managers, and producers, and you'll learn the full renewal and carrier marketing cycle from the inside.

If you've spent a year or two at an agency, with a carrier, or administering benefits on the HR side, this role takes what you already know and puts it to work on the advisory side of the business. It's an entry point into benefits marketing and a foundation for a long career in employee benefits.

What you'll do

  • Manage the renewal timeline: request renewal releases, claims experience, and carrier reports 90–120 days ahead of each effective date
  • Lay out current plans and premiums side by side so the team can see exactly what a customer has today
  • Prepare requests for proposal (RFPs), send them to selected carriers, follow up on quotes, and answer carrier questions
  • Organize quotes and carrier correspondence so producers can recommend the plans and rates that fit each customer
  • Help finalize customer presentations and prepare meeting materials
  • Confirm final rates with carriers in writing and send sold plans for carrier signoff
  • Keep renewal files complete and organized in AMS360 and ImageRight
  • Maintain the team calendar of carrier and in-service trainings

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of experience in an insurance agency, with a carrier, or in an HR or benefits administration role
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with the rest of Microsoft Office; you'll spend real time comparing numbers
  • Follow-through. When a carrier hasn't responded, you follow up before anyone has to ask.
  • Nevada Life & Health license, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of hire
  • Familiarity with AMS360 or ImageRight is a plus

Why Brown & Brown

  • Performance is what moves you forward. Brown & Brown runs as a meritocracy. Teammates who deliver are recognized, trusted with more responsibility, and considered for growth. Where you start doesn't decide where you finish.
  • A real path in benefits. This role teaches you how employee benefits renewals work from start to finish. That knowledge carries directly into account management, marketing, and sales roles.
  • Decisions are made locally. Our Las Vegas office leaders run their business close to the customers they serve, so the people you work with every day are the people who see your work.
  • You can be an owner. Through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan, teammates can own a stake in the company they help build.
  • Health benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance
  • Financial benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement
  • Other benefits: paid time off, holidays, and a teammate discount program

Location: Las Vegas, NV (hybrid). This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position.

If you're detail-driven and want a career where your effort is visible, we'd like to hear from you.
