Details for Manufacturing Extrusion Operator Position:

• $18-19.50 / Hour (Based on Shift) + $1.50 / Hour Bonus for Perfect Attendance
• Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

• Majority of work activities performed indoors in an area with temperature variations, noise, dust, and fumes
• Work Occasionally Outside

Job Duties for Manufacturing Extrusion Operator Position:

• Operate and maintain melt spun equipment for man-made fiber production
• Identify, assemble, disassemble, clean, and service spinning machine components, packs, extruders, godet rolls, finish systems, winders, dryers, and related parts
• Set up extruders and finish solutions to product and quality specifications
• Use suction tools, instrumentation panels, and quality testing equipment to start, string, doff, test, and verify process conditions
• Perform prep work, machine presetting, routine checks, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance to keep equipment within tolerance
• Inspect and test materials to ensure denier and quality requirements are met
• Follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and identify potential equipment hazards
• Enter maintenance requests and communicate repair needs to maintenance personnel and supervisors
• Work closely with Quality to confirm materials meet specifications and follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures, work instructions, and test methods
• Accurately record production, consumption, and process changes each shift
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to prevent contamination and support safe operations
• Complete required training and safety programs and assist in other departments as needed
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures in place
• Complete any other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Desired Skills for Manufacturing Extrusion Operator Position:

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic computer, communication, reading, writing, and math skills, including calculations and percentages
• Good hand coordination and dexterity
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
