Pay and Benefits The starting pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, with a full range of $20.00 - $34.00. Teams in Apparel & Accessories, Home, Baby, Core Beauty, and Electronics prioritize guest experience while ensuring products are available, easy to shop, and well presented on the sales floor and backroom.Responsibilities Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly environment.Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and operations.Actively observe, provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize great guest experience moments.Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align the team on the right behaviors.Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes guest experience, including inclusivity and respect for diverse voices.Plan daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and store sales goals, including merchandising sets, planograms, promotions, events, and sales plans.Lead onboarding, coaching, and skill development to close gaps and support team performance.Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.Encourage use of department tools to welcome, inspire, and influence guests with personalized recommendations.Partner with third‑party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met, and areas are full and maintained.Support team execution of merchandise set changes, visual presentations, and backroom organization and replenishment.Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.Prioritize guest experience by ensuring fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe.Model a safety culture through safe behaviors, hazard identification, incident response, and injury reporting.Execute physical security processes to enhance in‑store security.Support merchandise protection strategies across the store, including ordering, storage, and application of best practices.Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities to enable the guest experience.Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with beverage laws.Perform additional duties based on business needs.Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum age 18 years.Previous retail experience preferred but not required.Ability to lead and hold others accountable.Proficiency with multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.Independent work and team collaboration skills.Strong communication skills.Positive, welcoming attitude toward guests and team members.Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.Capability to handle tasks within established timeframes.Additional Expectations Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.Climb ladders as required.Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally.Maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.Work in varying temperatures and humidity levels while performing duties such as drive‑up and carry‑out.Remain mobile for the entire shift (shift length may vary).Demonstrate reliability and prompt attendance.Equal Employment Opportunity Target is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
