We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team. The Dietary Cook prepares nutritious meals for our residents while ensuring a clean,safe, and welcoming dining environment. This role is vital in supporting the nutritional well-being and overall quality of life for our residents.

Dietary Cook Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus, dietary restrictions, and portion controls.

• Ensure food is prepared and served at proper temperatures and in an appealing and sanitary manner.

• Follow all sanitation and food safety procedures in compliance with health department regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work areas, and food storage areas.

• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies in an organized and timely manner.

• Collaborate with dietary aides and staff to ensure timely meal service.

• Adapt recipes and menu items to meet the special dietary needs of residents (e.g., diabetic, low sodium, pureed diets).

• Monitor food inventory and notify supervisor of shortages or low-stock items.

• Comply with infection control policies and participate in safety and sanitation training as required.

• Exhibit professional behavior and promote a positive, respectful environment for residents and staff.

Dietary Cook Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare dietary setting or institutional cooking preferred.

• Knowledge of basic nutrition, food preparation techniques, and dietary requirements for seniors.

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

• Must pass background check and health screening as required by facility policies.

• Must be available to work 12pm-8:30pm.
