Description:

Overview Project Engineer Specialist with lead product management of new product design and integration, make improvements to existing products, and provide engineering support for aircraft completions and parts manufacturingWhat you'll be doing as a Project Engineer Specialist Manage new product development and/or related projects to meet AAI business goals;successfully meet project performance requirements within budget and time constraints.Manage projects through the full stage-gate development cycle, ensuring adherence to “best practice” methodologies with goal to ensure optimum result.Lead cross functional project teams and multiple concurrent projects.Manage the product development project through manufacturing start up including tooling and process development resulting in transition to production.Interface with the all groups within the company, reporting on project status and conducting gate reviews while managing progress of those groups.Interface with customers to determine product performance (and other) requirements and translate into defined statements of work for AAI Design / Certification Engineering.Design new products or make improvements to existing products for the development of systems, parts of STC kits and customized completions.Follow established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in design drafting.Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within drafting and aeronautical field.Work under general supervision, relying on instruction, experience, judgment and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.May lead minor and major projects.Skills You Bring To This Role Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail needed.Ability to handle multiple tasks in timely manner.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.Strong ability to be adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities and changes.What you need to be successful Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or related field.Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/engineering experience or equivalent.Advanced experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor or equivalent.Preferred Experience Prior experience in aviation/rotorcraft experience.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and/or stand for duration of shift.Ability to use computer, to include keyboard, mouse, and software related to job duties.What we offer you in return 80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)120 hours Vacation time12-13 paid holidays per year6 weeks parental leaveOn-site Bell Piney Flats fitness center (employees only)Access to Employee Resource GroupsAnd so much moreIt's time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
