Electrical Engineering TechnicianSurgoinsville, TNTemp to hire$22.00/hr2nd and 3rd shiftsWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Maintenance team in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and automation systems to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment and possess strong problem‑solving abilities related to PLCs, HMIs, drives, and equipment controls.ResponsibilitiesFollow all company safety policies and procedures.Ensure electrical work complies with OSHA and NEC regulations.Support and improve equipment safety, including guarding and lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Participate in required safety and compliance training, including hazard communication, confined space, hazardous waste, and lockout/tagout procedures.Complete maintenance work orders and assigned project tasks.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic issues on production equipment.Assist with maintaining software backups and electrical drawings.Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.Research and recommend replacement parts and components as needed.Perform troubleshooting and repair of PLC and HMI systems.Perform troubleshooting and repair of AC/DC drives and control systems.Perform troubleshooting and repair of electro‑mechanical systems.Perform troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Perform troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum 2 years of experience with PLCs and equipment controls.Experience with machine networking and communication protocols.Ability to troubleshoot using laptop connections and diagnostic tools.Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance systems.Knowledge of OSHA and NEC safety standards.Knowledge of ISO and BRC procedures preferred.Strong organizational and time‑management skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to operate forklifts, lift trucks, and material handling equipment.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Technical degree, certificate, or related training preferred.Industrial maintenance, skilled trades, or engineering background is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around operating machinery and chemicals.Visual acuity required for inspecting machinery and products.#J-18808-Ljbffr
