Data Engineer (Domain-Aligned)

12 month + Contract

Role Purpose

Builds and maintains domain-specific data pipelines and transformations that turn raw source data into trusted, certified datasets ready for analytics and AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Implement business logic, cleansing, and deduplication
• Create and maintain bronze silver gold data layers
• Partner with data stewards on data quality and certification
• Troubleshoot data issues and root causes
• Optimize pipelines for reliability and performance

Core Skills & Experience

• ETL/ELT development
• SQL and data transformation frameworks
• Data modeling (analytical and relational)
• Understanding of data quality concepts
• Familiarity with domain data (Customer, Dealer, Supplier, etc.)

What This Role Owns

• Domain-specific ingestion and transformations
• Business logic implementation
• Dataset reliability for downstream use

What This Role Does Not Own

• Platform architecture
• Tool administration
• Governance policy definition
