Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSBecome technically proficient in OMICRON products and solutionsDevelop, maintain, and foster customer relationships as required for assigned accounts and segmentsManage and support manufactures representatives in the Southeast Territory, including training, forecasting and evaluation of performanceCoordinate customer visits and activities, make presentations, demonstrate products, technologies, and test methodologies, and provide post-sale customer support Participate in business development, market evaluation, and sales forecastingRecord and maintain all customer meetings, leads, opportunities, and activities per the OMICRON Sales process incorporating the CRM (customer relationship management) systemCommunicate routinely with OMICRON Sales managers and stakeholders, share customer and market data, and report status at team meetingsCoordinate promotional activities, and participation at conferences, user meetings, seminars, and local exhibitsPerform other tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager - North America (East)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESTechnical knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems and the various apparatus used within these systemsTechnical knowledge of testing methodologies and maintenance practices used to assure a continuous and reliable power systemTesting background is recommendedAbility to present products, technologies, and test methodologies to technicians, engineers, supervisors, managers, and executives via telephone, email, visits, exhibits, or webinarsAbility to perform product demonstrations on-site with or without the assistance of Application EngineersReputable business and work ethics and personal character Goal and team-oriented - willingness to work collectively with others to achieve corporate, regional, and personal goalsKnowledge and understanding of the organization and business processes employed by electric power companies, government agencies, manufacturers, and industrial consumers of bulk power in the North American marketSolid working knowledge of MS Office - especially Outlook, Excel & PowerPointExcellent written, speech, presentation, and negotiating skills requiredAble to travel domestically (up to 50%); international travel may be requiredWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMinimum 2 years of experience in power systems, especially in the field of power system protection or high voltage apparatus. NETA experience is a plusMinimum 1 year of sales experience in selling testing equipment, instrumentation, or apparatus for the electric power industryParticipation in international, national, regional, and local conferences, exhibits, or seminarsThis is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.
