Corporate Director, IT Infrastructure Services

Job Description: Summary: The Corporate Director, IT Infrastructure Services, has overall responsibility for ensuring that the development and operation of the organizations IT network infrastructure provides the adequate and necessary foundation to fulfill the mission critical strategic objective of sharing information across the integrated healthcare delivery system of Ballad. The integrated healthcare delivery system is inclusive of all affiliate Hospitals, Clinics, Physician and Home Health Offices. The development, implementation, and operation of this infrastructure incorporates all aspects of local and wide area networking, network security, physical and virtual servers, enterprise storage, and IT disaster recovery planning and testing. Working in concert with IS team members and IS leadership, it is critical the incumbent assist in the development and maintenance of critical technical standards enabling the highest levels of availability, performance, and customer usability. The incumbent is responsible for creating and managing that portion of the capital and operating budget of the Information Systems Department relating to enterprise infrastructure development and support. Initiative, sound judgment and high aptitude for organization and attention to detail are required to carry out job duties. Above average intelligence to comprehend complex interrelationships between software/hardware functions and user applications. Must have the ability to assimilate and interpret abstract situations and render decisions consistent with the strategic goals and objectives of Ballad. Must have the ability to solicit and manage resources needed by staff for projects, tasks or problem resolutions. Must have proven management capabilities for prioritization of multiple conflicting demands for resources and for continuous monitoring and adaptation of priorities as situations change from moment to moment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills needed to successfully communicate complex technical concepts and requirements across all levels of personnel throughout the Enterprise. Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to foster an atmosphere of cooperative collaboration with other staff, project leaders and Directors within IS Department and the enterprise.

Requirements: This position requires a Bachelors degree with major in Computer Science or equivalent. Five years of disaster recovery planning/development, network security, and IT network infrastructure experience. Experience with network security, disaster recovery planning and general purpose IT networking is essential, with experience in healthcare preferred. Must possess proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills and have demonstrated successful performance in management of complex projects (project management methodology) and budgeting, as well as management of personnel.
