Lead Structural Engineer - Qualifications

Sole

U.S. citizenship required

(to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)
Ability to

obtain DOE Q clearance
B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering

from an ABET-accredited engineering school
10+ years of post-education experience
PE or SE license required , with ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
Responsibilities & Capabilities

Perform

Engineer of Record (EOR)

duties as assigned
Perform design and full documentation of structural systems
Interface directly with client counterparts (virtually and on-site) to develop project solutions
Integrate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, Civil, Document Control, Project Controls, etc.)
Estimate, schedule, and track projects for

cost and schedule performance
Technical Expertise

Knowledge of

DOE, NRC, and nuclear standards

(e.g., DOE-1020, NRC regulatory framework)
Understanding of

soil-structure interaction and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis
Expert design knowledge of:

Steel
Concrete
Masonry
(with emphasis on seismic design)

Expert application of national codes:

IBC
AISC
ACI
ASCE 7

Experience working within an

NQA-1 quality program
Ability to follow and implement established

quality procedures
Software Proficiency

Finite element software (e.g.,

STAAD.Pro or equivalent )
MathCAD (or equivalent)
Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, etc.)
Staff Structural Engineer - Qualifications

Sole
