Drivers are required to function as integral team members within the shipping and receiving operations. The role will primarily entail operating commercial vehicles to maneuver and transport trucks and trailers to designated locations. Additionally, drivers will be responsible for the loading and unloading of freight.

Key duties and details for Yard Driver | Freight Handler:

• Operate trucks over 4-tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations locations
• Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products, materials and equipment
• Perform daily required "user maintenance" and provide required reports and inspections
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup
• Operate all Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand truck), Roll Clamp, etc
• Maintain all certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs, and Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines
• Maintain and protect ALL property in excellent condition
• Perform task that are assigned to support and improve the team operations
• Assist other areas/departments as needed

Qualifications for Yard Driver | Freight Handler:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Extended periods of sitting, standing, and operating material handling equipment
• Adaptability to work in extreme weather conditions, including both hot and cold environments
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and successfully pass all pre-employment screenings
• Must hold a valid Class A license with Air Brakes endorsement and possess a current medical card
• Proficient in the safe operation and maintenance of equipment
• Capable of making pickups and deliveries in accordance with shipping requirements
• Previous truck driving experience essential with a clean driving record
• Willingness to learn to operate all Material Handling Equipment
• Competent in completing commercial vehicle inspections
• Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
