$20-22 / Hour
Short-Term Temporary
Paid weekly
Key Duties for Administrative Town Clerk:
Maintains office records, issues notices, and records town meeting minutes
Handles FOIA requests, research tasks, publishes reports, and serves as notary public
Processes town payments, issues permits, answers phones, and takes messages
Follows all established policies and procedures
Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Administrative Town Clerk:
Diploma/GED required; Associate degree in public administration or related field preferred
Virginia Clerks of Council certification preferred
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and municipal government functions
1-7 years of relevant work experience (depending on education level)
Strong oral/written communication, research, and report preparation skills
Physically able to stoop, lift up to 20 lbs occasionally/10 lbs frequently, and perform repetitive motions
