Purpose
Serves as a front-line information source about the park's programs and facilities.

Essential Functions
• Welcomes visitors.
• Collects program/membership fees.
• Sells merchandise using the park's POS system.
• Issues memberships to the appropriate park guest.
• Assists with inventory for gift shop.
• Accounts for money being collected.
• Distributes brochures/flyers containing information about the park and its programs.
• Responds to questions concerning and activities and events at the park.
• Provides descriptions and explanation of the natural history of the park.
• Observes park visitors and reports possible violations of park rules and regulations to Park Rangers.
• Cross-training in Gate House (sells maps/collects entry fees.)
• Operating Loomis Machine.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of park rules, regulations, and fee schedule.
• Skills in greeting and interacting favorably with park visitors.
• Skills in making change and keeping records accurately.
• Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with city staff, park volunteers, visitors, and the general public.
• Computer skills in using Microsoft.
• Ability to operate a call radio.
• Ability to operate a Loomis machine.
• Ability to multi-task.
Education and Experience
High school graduate or GED equivalent. At least one year of experience in customer service preferred.
