RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with no call responsibilities
• Rotating weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units required
• Hybrid PCU/Medical-Surgical unit requiring proficiency in both specialties
• Patient ratios: 1:5 for PCU patients, 1:7 for Medical-Surgical patients
• Work with adult patient population on 19-bed unit with daily census of 17
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA BLS (AHA ACLS and NIH preferred)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays with online CBLs
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• Required to complete drug testing 12-14 days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• Non-billable modules averaging 4-5 hours completed during orientation

This healthcare organization operates a 19-bed hybrid Progressive Care Unit and Medical-Surgical department that provides comprehensive care for adult patients. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology including Epic charting systems, and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization is committed to nursing education and requires all nursing staff to actively participate in clinical student education and mentorship programs.
