Host and Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet guests and guide them to their tables
  • Monitor the flow of the restaurant and seat guests efficiently
  • Provide menus and kid packs as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby, bakery, and retail areas
  • Conduct restroom checks and ensure all areas are tidy
  • Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience
  • Effectively address and resolve guest complaints, involving management when necessary
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Assist in promoting new products and marketing initiatives
  • Sanitize and reset tables as required
  • Manage guest wait times and provide accurate wait estimates with the help of management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • The ability to identify and solve problems as they arise
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize tasks
  • A basic understanding of cash handling and credit card processing
  • Familiarity with POS systems

Education/Experience:

  • 0-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of common restaurant practices and concepts

Physical Requirements:

In order to perform the essential functions of this job, you must be able to:

  • Stand for the duration of your shift and walk for long periods
  • Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, stoop, and reach as necessary
  • Communicate verbally with guests and team members
  • Visually engage in a variety of tasks, including using and adjusting focus
  • Navigate all areas of the restaurant, stock areas, and registers with ease
