Description:

The Content Distribution Coordinator will act as an audience liaison among the content, creative, advertising and marketing teams. They will be responsible for identifying and working with content teams to acquire engaging content tailored to targeted audiences to drive engagement. The right candidate must keenly understand the new digital media landscape and will be expected to distribute digital multimedia content, identify trends, monitor metrics, determine performance and optimize content.

In addition, the Content Distribution Coordinator will research content produced by our journalists to identify opportunities to refresh and repackage it for multiple digital platforms and products. This role requires a desire to experiment, iterate and quickly adjust as the environment dictates. Collaboration is key.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is between 60k and 75k annually. Individual base pay may vary within that range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, department equity, training, geography, and local wage and hours laws.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, package and distribute editorial, multimedia and sponsored content across digital platforms (social, web, video, email), tailored to target audiences.
  • Repurpose and reformat existing content for different platforms to maximize reach, engagement and discoverability.
  • Collaborate with content, video and creative teams to represent audience needs and ensure content is optimized for distribution while maintaining brand standards, voice, tone and editorial ethics.
  • Configure, manage and curate automated feeds across on-site and off-site channels, including newsletters and microsites, ensuring accurate formatting and presentation.
  • Monitor feeds and workflows for errors, broken links, missing assets or formatting issues, and conduct post-publish audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all content meets SEO, metadata, accessibility and best practices, including review of AI-assisted outputs for quality and accuracy before distribution.
  • Monitor performance metrics (engagement, reach, clicks) and make adjustments to improve content results.
  • Use CMS, social scheduling, analytics and content management tools to execute distribution efficiently, troubleshoot issues and recommend workflow improvements or new tools.
  • Stay current on platform features, digital trends and audience preferences to inform daily content execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support sponsored partnerships, paid media and organic growth efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in digital content distribution, social media management or multimedia content operations.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms (search, social, web, video, email) and best practices for content formatting, posting, monetization and optimization.
  • Experience with CMS, social scheduling, analytics and content management tools (WordPress, True Anthem, Marfeel or equivalents).
  • Basic skills in repurposing or creating multimedia content (photo, video, text, audio) for different formats.
  • Ability to monitor engagement, reach and clicks, and adjust execution accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage content calendars, meet deadlines and maintain consistency across channels.
  • Comfortable working in a data-driven, iterative environment that adjusts to platform changes and audience trends.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; preferably in journalism, marketing or the equivalent education, experience, skills and knowledge needed to perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position.
