The Graphic and Web Designer position resides in the Marketing department at CableLabs. This department supports communications for CableLabs technologies and work (which includes our member and vendor community), as well as SCTE. Our team plays a crucial role in providing departmental support across all our organizations, driving awareness to information that benefits our members, vendors and the industry, and helps the companies we support achieve their strategic goals.

Why This Internship Is Exciting

You will develop practical design skills by creating visually compelling, user-friendly digital assets that align with brand guidelines, as well as learn how to update website pages using WordPress to effectively apply brand standards consistently and support site optimization.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and audit landing pages with broken links, outdated content, or non-modern design elements, and recommend or implement improvements.
  • Update website pages using WordPress to support information updates, brand consistency, usability, and site optimization.
  • Make cross-brand asset updates to ensure visual consistency and that materials remain current.
  • Other duties may include:
    • Design and update document templates such as PowerPoint presentations and Word documents to meet branding standards.
    • Collaborate with marketing team members to support campaigns, and content initiatives.
What Is a Must Have
  • Currently pursuing Bachelors degree in graphic design, web design, or similar program
  • Knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Figma, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to tasks without direct supervision
  • Able to communicate project needs
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects
What Will Set You Apart
  • Knowledge of how to update web pages in Wordpress


Working conditions and physical requirements

This position is performed primarily in a remote (home-based) work environment. The employee is expected to maintain a quiet, professional workspace that supports productivity and confidentiality. Work is generally performed during standard business hours, though occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support business needs. The role involves frequent communication via email, telephone, video conferencing, and messaging platforms. The employee must have reliable internet access and the ability to work independently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse to complete tasks. The role requires frequent hand and finger dexterity for typing and operating office equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret information on a computer screen.
