Position Overview

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality data analytics, reporting, and technical solutions that support business decision-making across the organization. The individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, lead reporting and analytics initiatives, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and contribute to continuous process improvement. This position requires strong technical expertise, business acumen, collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design, develop, and present accurate, relevant, and timely reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights for departments and leadership
  • Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data transformations and reporting logic
  • Work within established team and company change management processes
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Data Analysts, promoting best practices and professional development
  • Track, manage, and respond to internal user requests through the ticketing system
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess needs, and translate business questions into technical solutions
  • Design, maintain, and execute testing and audit procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Assist with data conversions, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and go-live support
  • Provide on-call support for reporting systems and reporting databases as required
  • Query relational databases using SQL to support analytical initiatives, ad hoc reporting, and decision-making
  • Implement best practices and continuously improve reporting, analytics, and business processes
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, managers, leaders, and internal and external business partners

  • Complete all required company training and compliance courses
  • Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role, the individual should possess the following qualifications and experience:
  • Strong understanding of various database structures and formats
  • Knowledge of industry best practices related to data architecture, data retention, data governance, and data security
  • Expertise in one or more business intelligence tools such as Cognos, SSRS, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced SQL skills, including experience with T-SQL and/or Oracle SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret, create, and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform a wide variety of tasks under established timeframes
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate options and recommend solutions
  • Strong systems-thinking skills and understanding of complex data ecosystems
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data management, or a related field
Location
  • Preferred: Las Vegas area
  • Secondary: Orlando area
  • Other locations may be considered if candidates are not available in preferred regions; candidates must reside in a state where the company is approved to hire
Remote Work
  • Primarily remote position
  • In-office presence up to once per quarter (more commonly twice per year)
  • Demonstrated success working in a remote, collaborative team environment
  • Dedicated, quiet home workspace suitable for focused work
  • Willingness to meet in person as needed (e.g., coffee meetings, off-sites, one-on-ones)
Work Hours & Availability
  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on time zone alignment
  • Participation in an on-call rotation with other senior team members; generally low-stress
  • Occasional evenings and weekends may be required

Required Technical Skills
  • T-SQL: Ability to read, write, and optimize complex queries within established coding standards
  • SSRS: Experience developing reports using Visual Studio and Report Builder
  • Business Analysis: Experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and documentation preferred
