Title: Data Steward 2
Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $51.50 - $54.73 per hour

Design, model or implement data warehousing or other data implementation activities. Program and configure warehouses of database information and provide support to users. Input data, provide manual data entry, data transfer, data verification and uploads of data.

Position Responsibilities:
• Input, verify, transfer and upload data to systems.
• Verify the structure, accuracy or quality of warehouse data.
• Provide or coordinate troubleshooting support for data warehouses.
• Perform data cleanup.
• Map data between source systems, data warehouses and data marts.
• Write new programs or modify existing programs to meet customer requirements, using current programming languages and technologies.
• Design, implement, or operate comprehensive data warehouse systems to balance optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors, according to customer requirements.
• Develop data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction.
• Create or implement metadata processes and frameworks.
• Create plans, test files, and scripts for data warehouse testing, ranging from unit to integration testing.
• Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
• Design and implement management approved warehouse database structures.
• Design, operate or implement management approved comprehensive data warehouse systems to balance optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors, according to customer requirements.
• Develop and implement data extraction procedures from other systems, such as administration, billing, or claims.
• Develop or maintain standards, such as organization. Structure, or nomenclature, for the design of data warehouse elements, such as data architectures, models, tools, and databases.
• Develop and recommend business rules for storage procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
• Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts.

Position Requirements:
Education & Corresponding Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in data management, data analytics, computer science, Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience is required with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields.
  • 3 years of experience is required with an associate's degree in applicable fields.
  • 5 years of experience is required without a degree or appliable degree.
  • 1 year of experience in data management, data analysis, or similar field is required.
  • Experience should include work in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
  • 1 year of relevant work experience in administrative support functions.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
  • 1 year of experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of technical data.
  • 1 year of experience storing, manipulating, and organizing large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs .
  • 1 year of experience with SharePoint data quality, management, and information governance.
Preferred Technical Skills & Experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, preferably Project Web Application.
  • General knowledge of electrical transmission technical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
