C.H. Robinson is hiring a Principal Customs Entry Writer to drive accurate, timely customs entries and elevate team performance. In this role, you will submit compliant entries to CBP and Partner Government Agencies across all entry types, ensuring on-time clearance. You will lead, teach, and develop the team, assisting the supervisor with workload management, scheduling, and new-hire ramp up. You will own SOP generation and maintenance, implement new business, and deliver standout service to internal and external customers. In this role, you will safeguard compliance, hit operational excellence and KPI targets, and grow your leadership, management, and commercial skills.

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead entry operations, audits, and compliance reviews, advising leadership on training needs and process improvements
- Serve as the first line of escalation, respond quickly to customer inquiries, and drive issues to full resolution and satisfaction
- Train, mentor, and develop entry writers in Customs Brokerage and customer service, acting as a trusted team lead
- Execute customs entries accurately and on time in accordance with all applicable laws, SOPs, and customer requirements
- Master and coach SOPs, best practices, and decision-making to prioritize work, prevent delays in cargo release, and safeguard delivery timelines
- Own regulatory documentation and customer reporting, maintaining current customer SOPs and HTS databases
- Partner with PGAs and internal modal teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and clear, collaborative communication
- Recommend and help implement technology solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and net revenue
- Support business reviews and customer outreach, retention, and expansion, fostering positive, professional relationships
- Resolve ABI, AMS, and billing errors, meet audit and timeliness KPIs, and flex to additional team or country-specific needs
Required Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED
- 5 years of customs entry writing experience
Preferred Qualifications: - 6-8 years of entry-writing experience
- Active CCS certification and Customs Brokers license
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
- Highly motivated, resourceful, ability to work independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, analytical mindset
- Ability to directly and decisively resolve problems
- Refined written and oral communication skills

Compensation Range $23.91 - $50.46
