About the Role:
The Benefits Analyst plays a key role in supporting both new and renewing group benefit programs by delivering accurate cost analyses, data sets, and proposal materials. This position is responsible for producing clear comparisons and summarized insights that advisors depend on to guide clients through important benefit decisions.
Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. As the analyst's experience grows, they will develop deeper expertise in carrier requirements, benefit plan structures, and internal workflows. Accuracy, follow-through, and effective collaboration with our sales team are essential to thriving in this role.
How You will be Compensated:
$30-$44/hr Depending on Experience

What You'll Do:
Support new business and renewal benefit plans for small group medical and ancillary benefits
Prepare, organize, and audit census data, plan designs, rates, and carrier materials
Run medical side-by-side and employee cost comparisons
Assemble proposal materials and support medical and non-medical quote requests
Navigate insurance carrier portals to obtain rates, plan information, and underwriting rules
Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready files across agency and carrier systems
Provide project and administrative support as assigned by department leadership, including reporting, workflow improvements, and special initiatives
Progress into ownership of a defined small group book of business by independently managing timely renewals, coordinating carrier negotiations, and maintaining accurate files.
Collaborate with Sales, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of projects and deliverables
Protect confidential information and comply with HIPAA requirements
Your Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent work experience with data analysis and professional communication of analytical results
Strong Excel skills
Familiarity with healthcare benefits, insurance carrier systems, or independent agency operations a plus
