Job Overview: The company seeking a player-coach Sales Engineer Manager with strong industry knowledge to support our sales team. This role will offer an opportunity in an energetic and diverse environment, interfacing with customers across various industrial sectors (including HVAC/R, pumps, robotics, aerospace & defense and others). This position is responsible for owning and supporting the team in creating detailed proposals, negotiating customer agreements, managing key customer accounts, acting as liaison between commercial and technical teams, attending and helping to conduct trade shows, among other tasks. The Sales Engineer Manager will generate/coordinate technical proposals and follow through on sales leads. They will work with the business leaders, engineering, software, marketing, and other teams to generate and convey motor solutions to potential customers and build working rapport with customer teams. This role requires a mix of mechanical systems expertise, technical knowledge of motors, hands-on engineering understanding, and polished communication skills. The right candidate will be extremely motivated, organized, goal oriented, and competitive. Must be willing and able to travel frequently domestically and occasionally internationally.
General knowledge in the industrial motor industry required, as well as a strong electrical, mechanical and sales aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute plans to grow the existing customer base. Visit potential customers and quickly assess needs, follow-up, and convert customer opportunities into profitable sales.
- Develop technical solutions with the engineering team and coordinate customer proposal efforts. Work with customers to define project scope, deliverables, and requirements specifications. Manage complex sales processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the customer and internally. Technical, economical, logistical and financial aspects are involved in creating a proposal.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and develop rapport with customer to ensure customer needs are understood. Must be able to identify the value of technology for the customer's application. Must be able to qualify leads and present the value proposition.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to bring ideas from concept through contract. Manage time and priorities for maximum efficiency using available resources, while performing a multitude of tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills: - Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Systems) with 7-10+ years of sales experience in industrial verticals. General knowledge in the industrial motor industry required, as well as a strong electrical, mechanical and sales aptitude.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, components, and system design (e.g., air handlers, fan systems, compressors, pumps, robotics applications, motors, controls).
- Demonstrated experience supporting OEM customers or large-scale B2B technical sales. Experience coordinating complex projects and teams with professionalism, collaboration, and persistence.
- Exceptional communication skills. Able to present and develop rapport with the audience while explaining complex concepts and processes. Able to convey messages and engage in technical and business discussions.
- Demonstrated track record of year over year sales growth from prior sales experience . Experience with CRM software.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service mindset . Self-starter; self-motivated; sense of urgency; well organized; ability to achieve goals.

Work Environment / Physical Demands: - Time will be split between office/desk and customer sites.
