ITTConnect is seeking a Data Analyst with experience in Banking / Financial Services for a direct-hire full time position with a client that is a large financial institution.

Job location: Coral Gables

The Data Analyst will be responsible for the design, and implementation of our data ecosystem. This includes driving the migration from on-premise infrastructure to a modern cloud-based architecture, establishing a DataSecOps framework, quality standards, and enabling advanced analytics capabilities. This role will work with agile teams and ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud-Based Data Architecture

• Design and implement a "Lakehouse" architecture combining data lake for raw data and data warehouse for structured analytics.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms for business continuity.

• Define and enforce access control and identity management based on least-privilege principles.
• Establish continuous monitoring for real-time security and compliance alerts.

• Define clear governance rules for data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with LGPD, U.S. privacy laws, and banking regulations.
• Implement metadata management and data catalog tools for discoverability and lineage tracking.

• Deploy validation frameworks for automated checks on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Create monitoring dashboards to track data health and pipeline performance.
• Define incident management processes for anomaly detection and resolution.

• Enable self-service BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for business users.
• Build infrastructure for machine learning model training and deployment pipelines.
• Provide a secure data science sandbox for experimentation without impacting production.

• Implement FinOps practices for efficient cloud cost management.
• Optimize queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.

• 12+ years of experience with Software Development / Data
• 5+ years of experience with Data Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Data Architecture, Data Warehouse / Data Lake, Data Governance, Frameworks, BI Tools
• Highly desirable previous experience working for Financial Services / Banks
• Highly desirable fluency in Portuguese or Spanish
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
