Summary:
The Rehabilitation Tech shall provide direct patient care and support services to the Physical Therapy Department. This individual will assist in the scheduling, treatment, care and safety of the rehab patients. The Tech will assist in preparing patient care area for treatment. Additionally, the Tech will conduct weekly checks to ensure patient equipment is current with biomed checks to maintain safe equipment for patient treatment. This individual will perform daily cleaning tasks and maintain current cleaning logs within the rehab department. The Tech will promptly make initial contact with referrals/patients and schedule appointments in a timely manner. The Tech will explain admission documentation to patients and collects FOTO data at appropriate intervals and enters information into FOTO database. The Tech will ensure appropriate handling of the patient medical record daily and upon discharge. This individual will assist in performance improvement data/survey collection.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a rehabilitation office or setting is desirable. Individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who have graduated or are actively enrolled in a high school/secondary education program in good standing with the academic institution and on track for meeting the high school/secondary graduation requirements are eligible for employment in this role.

Licenses and Certifications:
AHA BLS required
