Position PurposeThe Shipping and Receiving Representative supports daily warehouse operations, including palletizing, shipping and receiving, order processing, and handling returns. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while maintaining an organized warehouse environment.II. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.Prepare, package, palletize, and ship outgoing orders accurately, safely, and on time.Load and unload packages using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.Ensure all receiving documentation and paperwork is accurate and complete.Inspect, process, and document returned products in accordance with company guidelines.Accurately enter received products into company database systems.Receive medical supplies from distributors and suppliers and properly place items in designated warehouse locations.Pick, pack, and prepare customer medical supply orders as directed, including sealing, labeling, and affixing postage.Utilize warehouse tools and systems such as hand tools, scanners, and software applications.III. Inventory ResponsibilitiesMaintain organized and accurate product storage.Identify and report inventory discrepancies to management.IV. Warehouse SupportMaintain cleanliness and organization of all warehouse areas, including quarantine and palletizing zones.Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling stairs, and scanners.Comply with company policies, OSHA regulations, and all warehouse safety standards.V. Administrative SupportProvide administrative assistance as needed, including data entry, recordkeeping, and communication tracking.VI. Ancillary Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in general warehouse maintenance and organization.Operate step ladders and hand trucks in compliance with safety requirements.Maintain a safe work environment following all departmental procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.VII. Reporting Relationship ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilitiesProvides work direction onlyProvides work direction and has responsibility for hiring, promotions, transfers, performance management, discipline, and dischargeShipping and Receiving Associate Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma or GED required.Experience:1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing, retail, or warehouse environment, or related inventory/clerical experience.Skills:Math: Intermediate math skills, including calculating proportions and percentages.Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.Computer: Proficiency with word processing software, Excel, Access, and/or other database systems.Telecommunications: Ability to utilize or learn call center or telecommunications software.Licensure/Certifications:None required.Work Schedule Requirement:Ability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.IX. Physical DemandsFrequently required to walk, sit, kneel, bend, handle objects, and communicate verbally.Occasionally required to stand for extended periods.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Requires frequent movement throughout the facility.Operates hand trucks and other shipping tools regularly.Uses shipping equipment such as tape guns, staplers, box cutters, and packing machines.Frequently climbs step ladders to pick orders and restock supplies.Must visually inspect product packaging, serial numbers, and labeling at various distances.Requires effective communication with other departments regarding customer order status.X. Work EnvironmentThe employee works primarily in a temperature-controlled warehouse and office environment. Noise levels are generally moderate. The role involves minimal exposure to hazards, provided standard safety procedures are followed.XI.
