We are seeking committed married couples to join our team as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this transformative role, you will reside in on-campus student homes, caring for and guiding a group of 8-13 students.

Your contributions will be vital in fostering a structured, family-like atmosphere that promotes students' academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Managing household routines and schedules effectively
  • Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
  • Transporting students to activities and engaging in recreational and developmental programs
  • Leading daily devotions and participating in Sunday Chapel services
  • Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Upon employment, Flex Houseparents will initially support various student homes with a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, you will have unscheduled time while students are in class. Over time, Flex Houseparents will transition into a dedicated Placed Houseparent role, living and working with a consistent group of students in their own home.

  • Salary: $44,768.00 per person (totaling approximately $168,000 for the couple, with housing, meals while on duty, and utilities included)

Qualifications:

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • This is a role for couples legally married for at least two years
  • Both spouses should be 27 years of age or older
  • A maximum of three dependent children may reside in the home
  • Commitment to maintaining a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
  • Pet restrictions apply: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
  • Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exemplary integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
