Position Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Team Member to support warehouse, logistics, and inventory control operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials while maintaining accuracy, safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

  • Receive, handle, store, record, and distribute goods within the warehouse.

  • Inspect incoming goods for damage and verify accuracy against invoices.

  • Accurately sort, label, and store items to maintain organized stock levels.

  • Retrieve, pick, pack, and dispatch goods per work orders or requests.

  • Maintain up-to-date stock records by entering data into inventory systems.

  • Provide timely responses to inquiries regarding inventory levels, shipments, and delivery schedules.

  • Arrange warehouse storage to optimize available space.

Material Identification & Documentation

  • Research and locate parts, part numbers, and vendor data using manuals, drawings, and online resources.

  • Support documentation of incoming/material movements and finished goods.

  • Assist with filing HazMat documents for domestic and international shipments (as required).

  • Work with freight companies to obtain quotes and coordinate pickups.

  • Provide reports, updates, and status information to managers as needed.

Repair Station Responsibilities (if applicable)

  • Perform visual inspection of incoming parts to verify documentation, serial numbers, and part numbers.

  • Check for external visual damage and ensure compliance with Repair Station Quality Control Manual procedures.

Team & Safety

  • Demonstrate proper use of required PPE and safe work habits.

  • Provide mentorship and support in developing basic skills of other team members.

  • Ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards, production requirements, and company guidelines.

  • Assist with routing and carrier selection when required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of related logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience.

Requirements

  • Hazmat/Dangerous Goods training.

  • Repair Station Inspection Privileges & Responsibilities training (for inspection roles).

  • Ability to use computers, including Microsoft Office programs.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to train and mentor other employees.

  • Ability to perform receiving inspections according to Repair Station Quality Control Manual (for repair station roles).

Preferred Qualifications

  • DOT or IATA certification.

  • Forklift license (strongly preferred).

  • Associate degree.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently; team lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and handle small components.

  • Good visual acuity for identifying defects and reading detailed information.

  • Ability to work with computers and related software.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members.

  • Willingness to follow instructions and request clarification as needed.

  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to chemicals, dust, odors, and varying machine heat cycles (for manufacturing-supporting teams).
