Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile IT Manager with strong technical writing and project management skills to join our international faith-based organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing IT operations, managing projects, and creating comprehensive technical documentation. This is a volunteer/supported position and a member of the Information & Digital Technologies team reporting to the Director of Information Technology.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Create clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and upgrades.

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager, Technical Writer, and Project Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear and user-friendly documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CompTIA Project+) are a plus.
