  2026-01-21     Place     all cities,AK
Description:

Summary

We are looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Mortgage Business Partner to join our dynamic, high-achieving real estate team. This position transcends the traditional "Loan Officer" role-you won't simply manage leads; you will serve as a true business ally, collaborating closely with our agents to co-market, convert prospects, and deliver customized, dependable financing solutions. You will be the trusted mortgage expert for our clients, skillfully guiding them through Chicago's distinctive lending environment-from upscale high-rise condos in the Loop to multi-unit investment properties throughout the city's diverse neighborhoods.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Agents: Engage in team strategy meetings and open houses, acting as the go-to financial resource within the real estate business and cultivating strong, trusted relationships with agents and their clients.
  • Lead Conversion: Own the process of turning buyer leads into pre-approved clients by conducting initial financial assessments, analyzing credit, and issuing competitive pre-approval letters that help secure winning offers.
  • Chicago Lending Specialist: Manage complex local financing scenarios, including non-warrantable condos, co-ops, and 2-4 unit FHA loans, which are common in the Chicago market.
  • Streamlined Transaction Oversight: Oversee loan files from application through "Clear to Close," coordinating closely with underwriters and processors to prevent delays during critical attorney review and contingency periods.
  • Collaborative Marketing: Work alongside agents to create educational content, host first-time homebuyer seminars, and launch joint marketing campaigns that foster mutual business growth.
Required Qualifications
  • Licensing: Active NMLS License in good standing for Illinois is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mortgage origination with a proven track record of self-generated business.
  • Local Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of Illinois grant programs (e.g., IHDA) and specialized lending criteria for Chicago property types.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Encompass (or similar LOS), CRM systems, and automated pricing tools.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly and simply explain complex financial concepts (such as DTI, APR, Points) to clients in an accessible and transparent way.
What We Offer
  • Reliable Deal Flow: Benefit from a consistent stream of motivated homebuyers sourced directly from our elite real estate team.
  • Genuine Partnership: Become an integral part of the team culture, moving beyond a vendor role to share in successes and grow together.
  • Entrepreneurial Independence: Operate your lending business with autonomy, backed by the resources and reputation of a premier real estate organization.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with real estate agents to provide tailored mortgage solutions that meet client needs.
  • Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from pre-approval to closing.
  • Analyze clients' financial situations to recommend appropriate loan products and terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and lending partners to drive business growth.
  • Assist in marketing efforts and community outreach to promote mortgage services and generate leads.
  • Provide timely updates and clear communication to all parties involved throughout the mortgage process.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage loan origination.
  • NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) registration required.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations and compliance.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and assess risk.
  • Proficient in mortgage software and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
