OverviewPosition Overview:Join the dynamic team at YouYu, a vibrant noodle bar located within the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Bristol. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience featuring a diverse menu inspired by Asian cuisine. The incumbent will lead all back-of-house operations for our fast-paced Asian kitchen. This role is responsible for menu execution, team leadership, food quality, and maintaining health and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes.* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.* Collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.* Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.* Oversee cost control.* Hire, train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a strong team environment and uphold culinary excellence.* Other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Skills and Qualifications:* 5 years as a chef or cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably with Asian cuisine.* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.* Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative dishes.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively under pressure.* Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.* Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.* Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.Age Requirements21+
