Training (all training provided by the agency)
Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy 9 Weeks
As a Police Officer Trainee, you will be paid full salary while receiving comprehensive training through the Tennessee Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. Upon completion of the recruit training, you will be responsible for protective services work as well as the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes. This work may involve personal risk and requires sound, independent judgment in all situations. All uniforms and equipment are provided by the department. In addition, you will be issued a take home patrol car.

Documented evidence of the training level must be provided and is subject to verification by the Human Resources department. All certifications must be issued by or approved by the State of Tennessee.
