Job Description:
Summary:
Administers roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operates x-ray equipment, develops film, prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies and contract material as per written instruction or physician order. Calculates and integrates radiologic aspects of care for all patients. Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment, determines proper exposure time distance; arranges immobilization and support devises to obtain position of patients; adjusts lead shields; and selects proper film. Operates mobile x-ray equipment when requested. Interacts with other radiology personnel and performs clerical duties to ensure smooth flow during the entire radiology process. Also assists in transporting patients when needed. Reports to the Director of Imaging Services and assistant Director of Imaging Services.
