We are looking for a qualified Transportation Coordinator for our Greeneville, Tennessee facility.

Under general supervision, responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments to meet customer and company requirements. Collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with shipping regulations, and timely delivery of products.

  1. Identify and monitor open orders with customers for status.
  2. Print and confirm the Bill of Lading and labels that are needed.
  3. Process all ecommerce/dot com drop ship orders.
  4. Provide support documentation for customer disputes.
  5. Check inventory availability against purchase order requests to ensure desired products are available for shipment.
  6. Meet all Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) requirements of all customers within the required time frame.
  7. Coordinate with outside carriers to ensure correct shipping dates, quantity, etc.
  8. Finalize Bill of Ladings and scan into the system for accounting for invoice processing.
  9. Maintain shipment information into spreadsheets.
  10. Navigate assigned customer portals.
  11. Manage the transfer of goods from vendors to customers.
  12. Coordinate flow of information and documentation to operations, credit, and accounts payable departments.
  13. Ensure proper application and compliance with Incoterms for all international shipments.
  14. Participate in training as required.
  15. Follow all safety standards and wear all safety equipment as required.
  16. All other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.

Skills and Abilities

This position requires an overall knowledge of shipping/receiving functions in regards to Bill of Ladings, customer requirements, inventory, and final shipping. Incumbents of this position must understand the link between successful job completion and corporate strategy.

Personal characteristics:
  • Great communication skills.
  • Great computer skills in order to meet ASN requirements, construct spreadsheets, and maintain other departmental documents.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
  • Capable of handling numerous tasks at once.
  • Requires exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
