The Department for Forensic Pathology is accepting applications for an Autopsy Technician 2. The William L. Jenkins Forensic Center in beautiful Johnson City, Tennessee is seeking an Autopsy Technician to assist staff forensic pathologists with the autopsy examination which includes preparing the autopsy suite, necessary paperwork, specimen containers, and body for postmortem examination. This position also assists the forensic pathologist with the postmortem examination (moving bodies, photography, taking x-rays, evidence collection/packaging, documenting personal effects and belongings, collecting toxicology specimens, evisceration, weighing of organs, etc.) and restoring the body following examination, cleaning of work stations and autopsy suite.
