McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility): McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff includes licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who provide 24-hour support. We help young men develop skills to improve thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.
Position Summary: McDowell Center for Children is seeking a dynamic and talented HR DIRECTOR. The HR DIRECTOR has the primary responsibility for administering all the professional and administrative functions of Human Resources. This individual will provide a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative and HR services, including but not limited to recruiting, position descriptions, benefits administration, leave management, new employee orientation, record-keeping, performance evaluation program, exit interviews, HR metrics, employee activities, training, licensing and compliance reporting.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related field.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' experience in human resources, preferably in a health care setting; or any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital business office.
Certification/Licensure: Professional certification PHR/SPHR preferred.
Additional Requirements: Experience with full-cycle recruiting and the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) highly preferred. Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours as requested.
