Electro-Mechanical, LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Test Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting electrical tests, troubleshooting, and performing quality assurance inspections on equipment manufactured at Federal Pacific. As a Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that metal components are prepared, finished, and inspected according to customer specifications and company standards. Your contributions will be essential for maintaining high-quality output and an efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams, and other verbal and written directions.

  • Safely manipulate apparatus and components to the necessary workstations.

  • Utilize hand tools and air tools effectively.

  • Determine appropriate methods for testing various components.

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and inspections of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

  • Interpret engineering and customer specifications to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Assess the quality of workmanship and function of electrical circuits.

  • Assist with special assignments as directed by the Area Manager or designee, with proper guidance provided.

  • Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards while participating in ongoing improvement teams.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and design teams to resolve issues and enhance documentation.

  • Keep your workspace clean and organized using manual tools and cleaning supplies.

  • Commit to regular attendance and work efficiently, willing to put in overtime as needed to support manufacturing goals.

  • Work harmoniously with co-workers and contribute to a positive team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electrical and electronic test equipment.

  • Experience in troubleshooting PLCs.

  • Proficient with computer operations, including setting communication parameters with protective relaying or PLCs.

  • Understanding of basic transformer concepts and connections, including Wye and Delta.

  • Knowledge of single and three-phase circuits.

  • Awareness of protective relaying and control schemes.

  • Capable of developing safe practices when working near energized electrical equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the facility regularly to perform essential job duties.
