Job Description:
Summary:
The Lead Point of Care Coordinator will provide oversight and participate in all aspects of POC training/competency assessment for POC operators and POC Testing Coordinators. The coordinator will review alternate POC equipment availability and make recommendations based on unit needs. This individual will be responsible for test development/implementation, and evaluates accuracy, ease of use, applicability and cost benefit. The coordinator will maintain adequate inventory of reagents, QC, supplies for testing areas, will recommend changes for cost effectiveness. Additionally, the Coordinator will guarantee compliance with all regulatory requirements. The coordinator will maintain in depth knowledge of interface and connectivity requirements.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology, bachelor's degree in medical technology preferred. Five years' experience in high-complexity laboratory required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active MLT or MT certification
