Job Summary

Responsible to the Dean or Dean's designee for advising and assisting graduate students and maintaining records from the initial stages of pre-admission and cohort organization, through admission, matriculation, and graduation; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of university admission, registration, fee payment, financial aid and graduation requirements.
• Knowledge of computer systems and programs including new versions of Microsoft Office/Windows and internet browsers.
• Knowledge of Graduate School policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of university policies, procedures, structure, and services offered. Knowledge of student services and retention strategies.
• Knowledge of BANNER student information system, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application system, and records management.
• Knowledge of SACSCOC and THEC policies, guidelines, and criteria for accreditation. Ability to communicate effectively to large groups or individuals.
• Ability to counsel students regarding university related matters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff. Ability to work independently in a detail-oriented environment and manage confidential data.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Two (2) years of experience in admissions, registration, or graduation office, or in another relevant higher education setting

OR

• Associate's degree or two years of college
• Four (4) years of experience in admissions, registration, or graduation office, or in another relevant higher education setting.
