Job Description:
Summary:
The primary function of the Compensation Analyst will be to work with the Talent Acquisition team on the formulation of offers for external job candidates and internal promotions, demotions, and transfers. The Compensation Analyst will consider standard calculation methodology, market competitiveness, and internal equity in their approach to recommending the appropriate rate of pay.
Additional duties may include:
Maintaining job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
Working with Ballad leadership to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.
Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt.
Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
Maintains job and position code setup in HRIS.
Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
Gathers and provides data for market-based compensation surveys;
Conducts cost analyses to be used by Ballad leadership for compensation decision-making..
Plans and communicates preferred methods and best practices for compensating employees.
Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, and human resource policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required.
2 years of previous compensation experience as a Compensation Analyst, Recruiter or HR Generalist required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
