Job Title Community Programs Coordinator Department Rural and Community Programs - 31105 Pay Grade 6 Job Category Administrative Job Summary
This position resides in Quillen College of Medicine's Rural and Community Programs division. A division dedicated to educating future physicians, especially those with an interest in primary care, to practice in underserved/rural communities. Additionally, this role will oversee the high school and college pathway programs utilized by rural and underserved students to advance into medical school. Coordinate a 2-week M3 elective for all Quillen College of Medicine Clerkship students. Assist Rural Programs Director and Coordinator with staff support tasks as defined by Rural and Community Programs Administrator.
Summary: This individual will serve as the EQUIP Program Coordinator, Junior Clinical Elective Coordinator, and support for Rural Programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of computers, with strong skills in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
* Ability to manage time appropriately to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to be organized and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
* Strong interpersonal skills allowing for building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
* Ability to deal professionally and responsibly with privileged information.
* Ability to travel on a limited basis with some overnight stays.
* Ability to move/lift items in the office and to set up booths/tables for events up to 20 lbs.
* Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
* Competent in the Microsoft Office suite to include MS Teams.
* Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree plus two (2) years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with experience working with graduate or medical students at a professional school level
Salary $47,002.36
