Day in the Life of a Supply Chain Procurement Associate

We are looking for curious, adaptable, and self-driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas to help us ensure the growth of our company by supporting the manufacturing and creation of our aircraft. No matter where you are in the company you are critical to the success of Bell. As a SC Procurement Associate at Bell, you can expect to: Bring your experience and ideas and help us ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials. Youll be the key interface for subcontract administration of major systems and complex components for aircraft production, product upgrade and new program development. You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to facilitate cost reduction initiatives that enhance the overall affordability and quality of our aircraft. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and all organizations across Bell.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard purchasing procedures within an assigned commodity or supplier(s) to ensure the timely delivery of supplies and materials.


• Purchase order management, competitive pricing adherence, inventory analysis, and input to the negotiation of long-term agreements.


• Utilize discretionary latitude within approved purchasing procedures and ensure compliance for all contractual obligations regarding Bell Helicopter and the Supplier.


• Maintain comprehensive and current subcontracts that adhere to program requirements and obligations.


• Obtain and furnish supplier data to other functional disciplines and SCM / IPT (Integrated Product Team) management.


• Maintain and manage an open order report for each supplier.


• Integrate with cross functional departments such as quality, engineering, manufacturing, and IPTs through robust communication to gain essential understanding of the business.

What Youll Need:

• A Bachelors degree or higher with a major in Supply Chain or Business required


• 0-2 years of relevant experience

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft application suite, as well as ability to quickly navigate multiple computer software modules, such as SAP and Ariba.


• Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.


• A strong desire to work on issues pertaining to acquisitions, sourcing, negotiations, and cross functional teams.
