Position Overview:

As our Configuration Management/Document Control and Records Management Specialist, this position supports the Nuclear Operations Group (NOG) Jonesborough on-site at the NOG-J plant. You will utilize document controls to store, track, and manage documents and records including plant operating procedures, work instructions, and related materials.

Location: Jonesborough, Tennessee

Your Day to Day as a Configuration Management/Document Control and Records Management Specialist

  • Maintain NOGJ Configuration Management/Document Control and Records Management programs and ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws and regulatory requirements
  • Understand basic concepts and assist in documenting configuration management processes and procedures, revision status, and change control
  • Provide guidance, direction, and insight into document/configuration management and records management processes/practices
  • Verify that submitted documents conform to procedures and guidelines
  • Assist users with search, retrieval and submittals of documents, drawings, procedures, etc
  • Distribute and transmit documents and records to appropriate parties
  • Audit document control and records management system for discrepancies
  • Interface with auditors, both internal and external
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the NOGJ document and records management systems
  • Continually look to improve document control and records management processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as determined by NOG-J management

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED with at least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment or an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Prior experience in document control/configuration management, document control, records management, or data entry is required
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to work
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Desire to learn and take initiative
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and/or a Department of Energy (DOE) clearance
  • Prior manufacturing and industrial experience is beneficial

Pay: $21.63- $38.46

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $21.63 and $38.46 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary based on candidate qualifications. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as an annual cash incentive and a full range of benefits. Details will be provided at offer. Employment is at-will unless governed by a collective bargaining agreement. The company reserves the right to modify base salary and other programs at any time.
