Job Description:
Summary:
The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for the development and implementation of Volunteer Services strategies, programs and policies; creation of Volunteer Services publications; maintenance of volunteer records; compliance with facility, pertinent JCAHO standards, and with local state and federal regulations.
Responsible for recruitment, selection, orientation, placement, management, competency, assessment, development and recognition of all volunteers.
Plans, organizes, directs and monitors the activities of all Adult and Student volunteers, providing support and guidance.
Provides support for the Auxiliary Board and their needs; acts as the primary liaison for the department with other departments within the hospital.
Practices fiscal responsibility by monitoring expenditures of volunteer program, coffee shop, and gift shop to ensure they remain within parameters
This position reports directly or indirectly to the Corporate Director of Volunteers/Auxiliary Resources.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in psychology, sociology, marketing, communication, human resources, and/or business management. A minimum of five years experience in management or volunteer work with a high level of public contact.
