Primary Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and other procedures on patients as directed by physicians and advanced practitioners
• Conduct routine and complex studies
• Assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures
• Perform on all age groups from infants to adult/geriatric patients
• Organize processed images, measurements, calculations, and other data for physicians to interpret
• Maintain equipment and order/stock all ultrasound supplies
• Maintain department records, reports, and files
• Maintain continuing education requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Radiology Technology from an accredited institution
• Registered ARRT by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

Experience

• One year experience in sonography applications

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT)
