Job Summary

The purpose of the position is to provide executive-level professional assistance to the Executive Vice Provost, Associate Provost for Curriculum, and Associate Provost for Faculty . The Assistant to the Vice Provosts works to ensure smooth and effective operations for the Office of Provost and Senior VP for Academic Affairs. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and managing various executive-level administrative services and personnel actions for the office while exercising independent judgment, as well as decision-making authority in designated areas. The position requires a high degree of personal initiative, flexibility, and personal judgment in all assignments. Along with strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth workflow, excellence in work standards, and a commitment to providing effective and efficient customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and strong command of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe products, and willingness to learn and utilize new technology as it develops.
  • Knowledge and understanding of university policies and procedures; and electronic platforms for work accomplishment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of work experience with senior leadership in higher education.
