Overview

Velocity Vehicle Group seeks a Business Development Officer - Remote USA. VelocitySBA provides small business owners with access to growth capital through the SBA loan program, helping with real estate, equipment, growth capital, debt refinance, acquisitions/partner buyouts, and startup support.

What Youll Do

The Business Development Officer performs external prospect development activities in the assigned territory. Primary focus is to develop relationships with prospects to increase overall level of business. The officer operates with minimal direction, develops a portfolio of new business relationships, and manages a loan portfolio in metro markets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Generate viable SBA 7(a) loan opportunities via external direct and indirect marketing channels and meet annual loan volume and pricing targets.
  • Manage loan workflow, financial analysis and closing requirements.
  • Determine 7(a) loan eligibility under SBA SOP and general prudent lending practices.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate loan applications and loan prescreen forms.
  • Update pipeline reports and attend weekly pipeline meetings with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Credit and Closing teams to efficiently process transactions.
  • Ensure all loan requests comply with Crossroads Small Business Solutions and SBA policies.
  • Manage new and existing 3rd party loan agents and ensure they meet company and SBA standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of SBA lending experience with a US-based bank or non-bank lending institution.
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to understand financial/credit policies, financial statements, and structure credit facilities of targets.
  • Ability to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Professional speaking and presentation skills.
  • Full understanding and knowledge of SBA eligibility and guidelines.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate credit risks.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements, business reports and legal documents.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient business writing skills.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $80,000-$120,000/year (based on experience and qualifications).
  • Plus Bonus Incentive.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug test.
