Job Details

This is an entry level position for chemists. Initially, the chemist is assigned to training in various laboratories in the plant for a period of one to two months. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of each laboratory in the plant and how they function and interrelate. 2. Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of each department in the plant, and how they function and interrelate. 3. Investigate plant processes and develop an understanding of them. 4. Develop an understanding of the work responsibilities for each of the labor units in the plant. 5. Become familiar with NFS' analytical methods/systems and determine their capabilities. 6. Solve technical problems for analytical systems that are safe, efficient, cost effective, and meet ALARA objectives. Education Requirements: B. S.
