About the Organization
Appalachia Service Project, Inc. (ASP) is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia. ASP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Using the skills and efforts of thousands of volunteers, ASP provides home repair and replacement to low-income households in Central Appalachia.

About the Position
The Volunteer Specialist reports to the Director of Volunteers and is responsible for a variety of assignments in support of the functions and responsibilities of the Volunteer Department. They facilitate and manage the registration process for ASP volunteers and coordinate communications, resulting in well-prepared volunteer groups. This includes the set up and management of volunteer events and schedules within ASP's online registration system; maintenance of volunteer and group databases; volunteer communications; and gathering feedback from volunteer groups as input for continuous improvement.
