Assistant or Associate Professor level in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based teaching, innovative research, and fostering a collaborative academic environment. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic intellectual community, engage in meaningful scholarship, and seek extramural funding to support their work. Essential Functions: - Teach in the professional pharmacy program (PharmD)
- Engage in research, grant writing, and scholarly activities aligned with the discipline and rank
- Provide service to the department, college, and university
Rank and Salary: The salary is nationally competitive, in accordance with AACP standards, and will be based on rank, experience, and qualifications. Initial rank and appointment will reflect the candidates professional goals and accomplishments. A start-up package is available.
About the College: The
Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy is a key part of ETSU Health, East Tennessee State Universitys
Academic Health Science Center , which also includes the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Health Sciences. The College offers the PharmD degree and is involved in the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences, housed within the College of Medicine.

- A PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Note: Candidates who will have completed their PhD prior to the start date of the position are also eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral training
- Experience in pharmacy education
- Specialization in pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, or pharmaceutics
- Applicants with the ability to contribute to multiple areas, including interdisciplinary teaching across the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, are especially encouraged to apply
